We focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.Our location in Sunnyvale, CA currently has an opportunity for a Software Engineer II .Software Engineer II will plan and deliver custom in-house software and hardware tools developed for Implantable Device Firmware projects.

Manage the delivery of tool projects that meet customers’ needs in terms of functionalities, performance, time, and cost; report progress on the project to upper management and customers.WHAT YOU’LL DO Working from requirement specifications, develops, maintains, and updates software Support implementation, new creation, enhancement, and modification to software/Firmware applications; Debug, troubleshoot, and isolate software problems and offer strategic advice regarding identified issues for future development; Develop design concepts (i.e.

parameters, structure, and core components).

Present at design reviews; documents and resolves issues as directed.

Contribute to, and support reviews held by other engineers on related projects and provide useful feedback.

Contribute to and support a variety of development and test phase efforts.

May write and update requirement specifications for an assigned area.

Review project deliverables such as specifications, code, and test/tool procedures for feasibility, thoroughness, clarity, correctness, and accuracy.

Comply with U.S.

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING Bachelors Degree in Software engineering, computer science, or a related engineering field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Minimum 3 years of experience in software development (combination of programming-heavy coursework, school projects, freelance work and professional experience) Sufficient software and hardware knowledge and experience to understand technical solution towards meeting customers’ need a must.

Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, or/ and Python preferred.

Knowledge of hardware breadboards and PC hardware system interfaces and embedded systems a plus.

Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.

Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.Preferred Experience and knowledge of software development process as required for medical device industry.

Experience of operating systems such as Windows.

Experience of multi-tasking systems and real-time application development (ex.

threading, semaphores, processes, etc.) preferred.

Experience with tools such as BitBucket, and Jira.
