Sr. IS Network Engineer

This is a Full-time position in Allen, TX posted June 3, 2021.

Position Purpose and Objectives This person will work with CUTX business units and partners to support our enterprise data and network infrastructure. This person must have excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Must also have the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-moving technical environment. After-hours work will be required. Major Duties and Essential Functions Design maintain and support network infrastructure and security devices. Maintain proper network backup procedures and ensure backup validity. Be a point of contact for troubleshooting and problem resolution for network issues. Monitor and troubleshoot network performance. Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems Build and maintain network run books associated with our daily processes. Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems Positions directly supervised NA Education Bachelorrsquos degree in computer science, MIS or 5 years equivalent networking experience. IT certifications such as, CCNP, CCDP, PCNSA, FortiGate NSE are desirable. Experience Experience with VLANs, VLAN Trunk, Spanning tree, vpc, port channeling, HSRP (or VRRP), QOS for VOIP, DHCP, and related L2 technologies. Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DIA, IPSec, DMVPN, GRE tunneling and other L3 technologies. Experience designing, configuring and maintaining Cisco ACINX-OS routerswitches, FortiGate VPN, Palo Alto, and Aruba wireless. Experience with ManageEngine, PRTG, LiveNX or equivalent monitoring tools. A well-rounded understanding of TCPIP, DNS, Windows Servers and VMware. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, andor boards of directors.
