Start your journey now!Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe System Z Software Technical Solution Specialist will help develop solution strategies for individual technical work streams for multiple tracks and present to client sponsors, which can include the IT and Line of Business sponsors: defined sizings and scope by mainframe product workstream.The System Z Software Technical Solution Specialist is responsible for participating in multi-disciplined solution teams working across multiple mainframe technical disciples (e.g.

Scheduling, Systems, Security, DevOps, etc.), and will participate in multiple opportunities concurrently.

System Z Software Technical Solution Specialist will have measurement Targets.Environment:* Develop an in-depth working knowledge of the client industries and an ability to market IBM System.

Understand the competitive landscape with regard to enterprise IT Infrastructure, software vendors and platform vendors including an understanding of on premise as well as cloud based offerings in our client infrastructure.

Understand the framework within which an industry operates in order to set business strategies.Communication/Negotiation:* Work with Team on opportunity identification and deal progression for System Z software; All Sellers in assigned role whether Brand Specialist or Cross Brand Z Specialist, and Tech Sellers* Provide assistance and/or recommendations for developing client proposal and presentationsProblem Solving:* Applies creativity and judgment in developmental work on opportunities or other projects within the System z brand business environment.Impact on Business/Scope:* Accountable for business unit and specific personal objectives, which will include measurement targets* Participates in development of the tactics that will win business* Manages to a high level of customer satisfaction* Responsibility for the creation of business/pipeline development, cadence and measurement targets* Setting business strategieszswm21Required Technical and Professional Expertise* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Mainframe Technical Sales* Knowledge of IBM Z Software products* Exceptional written and oral communication skillsPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise* Expert knowledge of Z software products including: Z Workload Scheduler and Automation, Omegamon, Z Decision Support, Z Capacity Planning, CL/SuperSession, GIT/DBB, RACF, Z Storage products* Knowledge of the Z products that compete against IBM Z Software* Experience in putting a Statement of Work together
