POSITION TITLE: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
REPORTS TO: Director of Front Desk
The Shipping and receiving coordinator is one of the most valuable assets to the success of our business.

This is a Saturday and Sunday shift and part time.

Since our business is built on care and concern and a warm welcome, providing exemplary service to all vendor and employees upon arrival to the Lake House Spa Resort employee entrance.

The shipping and receiving clerk ensures the smooth operation and organization of the receiving area of the resort.

Greets and takes the temperatures of all employees, vendors and suppliers who enter the receiving area.
Ensures accuracy of record keeping of all packages sent to the hotel

Drives the company van to deliver food products/packages to the resort kitchen.
Takes inventory of all food items delivered to resort and ensure that the kitchen receives food items timely
Manages mailing of all packages and other items according to specific instructions.

Orders all supplies for all items needed for shipping and receiving area
Responds to all phones calls from internal guests related to packages and responds accordingly.
Properly open & close spa each day according to Standard Operating Procedures
Responsible for stocking of employee coffee station
Maintains cleanliness of employee entrance
– inside and out
In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform additional functions according to the needs of the resort and as assigned by the supervisor.

These responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Be on time for your shift
Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time
Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Utilize resort computers with skill and proficiency

Excellent verbal English communication skills
Exceptional communication, listening and people skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to project a positive attitude in person and over the telephone
Must be detail-oriented and have ability to multi-task

o High school diploma or GED
o At least one year of consistent, steady work experience with the general public, specifically in customer service
o Pleasant personality; self-starter; enthusiastic team-player; self motivated.

Spontaneous desire to assist others and provide excellent service.

Ability to work on Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 am
– 2:30 pm

Supervises: None
Interacts With: Peers, Vendors, Guests, Others
Regular attendance in conformance with LASR and departmental attendance standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with LASR rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of LASR facilities.

Employees who violate rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance including adherence to specified standards where applicable.
