We have been retained by our client in Arlington, Texas (South Arlington, Texas) to deliver a Help Desk Support Technician who can speak French, on a full-time direct hire basis. This career opportunity with excellent benefits, 401k matching, and travel bonus pay requires a candidate with help desk technical support experience troubleshooting Windows and web browser issues, excellent verbal and written communication, as well as excellent customer service, customer relationship and customer rapport building skills and the ability to travel 50. Provide technical help desk support to customers via telephone. Instruct users on features of software. Troubleshoot customer issues with proprietary software and any related issues including support for Windows 10, Mac OS, upgrades, changes, registry errors, installs, troubleshooting, support, Live Remote Assistance, basic Server support, basic Networking, Mapping Folders, Security and Permissions, user rights and permissions.Use Installer, edit Registry, use Device Manager, COM ports, USB ports. Perform basic data management on laptops and work stations. MS Office, Process Improvement, Troubleshooting, light Server Administration. Provide general windows support, feature navigation, troubleshooting, to customersusers of the software. Document bugs to allow for developers to reproduce bugs on their machines document bugs and track bugs in Team Foundation Server (TFS) the bug tracking tool. Software interfacing with the billing software, reading data from devices in the field at customer locations. Example of customer issue or system issue that support tech may fix is an error on importing a file, where the file layout could be wrong, or file is comma delimited, or fixed width format where the field position has the wrong character size. Support techs may be able to provide a fix on the fly, or could be deeper requiring a developer to fix. Phone support, assistance in training, bug testing of exports that result in formatting issues of text files, in example. Travel to customer offices for training of users. Requirements French and English speaking. French language skills are required to support customers in Canada. 1-2+ years ofJunior level help desk support, PC support experience including technical support and customer service dealing with questions, issues and technical problems with windows software, Windows 10, browser problems including any or many of the aforementioned description. This position is best suited for an articulate, self-motivated, well-mannered candidate, who has an outgoing and friendly personality for supporting, instructing and training customer users on features. Help Desk Support experience as well willingness and ability to travel to customer locations for set up, installs and training. Desired SkillsEducationCertification Associates degree in Electronics, or Information Technology or related degree or Bachelors is a plus. A+ certification is a plus. Any Windows or PC support course curriculum, is a plus. Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required, for customers in South Texas. A+ certification. Network+ certification. Travel Requirements after about 3-4+ months of training in Arlington, Texas office, 50 travel will be required. Travel is normally 1 week each trip, often 2 days of software installs and set up and 2 days of training with each customer. 2 trips per month. Travel is within the USA. Slight chance of travel to Canada.
