HR/Compensation Specialist

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick

This is a Contract position in Fort Worth, TX posted August 1, 2021.

In this dynamic role, you will ensure that Saint Barnabas Medical Center s compensation program is competitive, equitable and compliant with all regulatory requirements and collective bargaining unit agreements.

Also, this role will utilize reporting, data mining, and data interpretation abilities combined with clear presentation methods to identify and build on areas of improvementsupporting HR initiatives and business goals.

Compensation In collaboration with HR management and hospital administration, designs, implements, administers and communicates all compensation-related programs.

Prepares and participates in salary surveys; makes recommendations for market-driven adjustments.

Assists with the preparation of job descriptions; evaluates for regulatory compliance and salary determination.

Ensures internal equity; assists HR Generalists and Recruiters in salary determinations for offers of employment and promotions.

Participates in ad-hoc reporting for regulatory agencies; ensures compliance with the FLSA and other federal, state and local regulations.

Researches, evaluates and recommends new or revised compensation practices and/or policies.

Reviews and updates seniority calculations in accordance with the applicable CBA.

Processes monthly bonus and probationary increase for bargaining unit employees Data Analysis Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to deliver data timely and accurately Create a process and structure to deliver HR metrics and information to internal and external stakeholders.

Analyze and audit data regular basis for accuracy.

Identify and recommend process improvement measures based on data analysis Participate in special projects and system implementations as needed Prepare charts, graphs, and visual presentations for requests and requirements Maintain full technical documentation of data analysis systems and the flow of data elements between various systems Other Maintain job code/work group list, department head list, annual Affirmative Action Plan submission Participates on designated committees, projects and programs; within the department, Medical Center and System (e.g.

Accountability, Education Fair, Magnet, Orientation etc).

Keeps up-to-date on regulatory and legal issues impacting AA/EEO, Compensation and Human Resources.

Qualifications Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

PHR, CCP preferred.

5 years of related HR experience including a minimum of 2-3 years of compensation (PeopleSoft 9.2 strongly preferred) Demonstrated advance proficiency with MS Access, Excel and Word.

Strong analytical and methodology skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Broad HR and regulatory (e.g.

AA/EEO, ADA, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, FLSA) knowledge.

Demonstrated commitment to service and performance excellence; proven ability to be flexible; change and adapt.
