Our location in Irving, TX currently has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Responsibilities:

Support technicians and supervisors in troubleshooting instrument issues on the production floor, improving reliability, and training technicians on new designs implemented in the factory.  Generate CR’s to address changes to processes and design.

Lead root cause analysis efforts for issues identified on production floor.

Run studies and validations on the line as needed.

Line support related projects including yield, CIP’s, productivity, quality and safety related projects.

 Creation of manufacturing instructions and pFMEAS for the build of the instrument.  Work with cross fuctional support team (Ops Quality, Design engineering and Ops Supervisors) to address problems that come up on the production floor.  Work with cross functional team to address all non-conformances identified during the production process.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required Bachelor’s Degree plus 2-5 years of related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area, or Master’s degree with 0-2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures.  General understanding of business unit/group function. Will perform this job in a quality system environment.  Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.; (Cognitive Skills) Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.  Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.

Preferred Education, Experience:  
•Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following majors:Biomedical Engineeer, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
•2-3 years’ of above work experience from any of the following types of companies/industries: Medical, Defense
•Software: CAD Software is a plus
•Medical Device experience a plus
