Advertising Sales Account Executive

About the job CSI Sports is seeking an Advertising Sales Account Executive to maximize revenue for our National Sports Network and our sponsorships.

He/she must be able to create, develop, negotiate, and execute sales strategies and proposals.

The Account Executive will manage business from new and existing accounts and should be highly motivated, with a passion for the sports and media industry.

Role and Responsibilities: Create and implement sales strategies that resonate with the network’s current and potential clients.

Manage inventory and sponsorship opportunities nationwide Provide ongoing servicing of existing accounts to ensure continuity and expansion of advertising revenue, while achieving or surpassing monthly/quarterly/annual sales quotas Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports (weekly activity reports, weekly account updates, proposal reviews, monthly projections/forecasts, etc.) for management Expand spending levels of current accounts while locating non-traditional advertising budgets Prepare creative and impactful client presentations that effectively sell our network Collaborate with multiple departments to achieve network objectives and optimize revenue through strategic and creative means Maintain awareness of competitive activity and industry trends Must have ability to establish and cultivate excellent relationships with their agencies and clients Required Experience: 7 years of Media (TV, Cable, Digital, etc.;) Sales experience with track record of success selling spots and sponsorships Understands Nielsen reporting and has a proven track record utilizing it in transactions Established relationships with direct response industry and agencies Familiarity with client and agency account management process with the ability to navigate through their internal structures to effectively connect with the decision makers Strong analytical ability for strategic sales development, including interpretation of media research and analysis for effective use as a sales tool Excellent organization and presentation skills, high levels of computer skills including Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word, NetSuite, and Media Radar An entrepreneurial mind set and aggressive attitude towards exceeding goals BS or BA in related field of studies
