Job Description

Vego Garden seeks an experienced marketing mind and creative to handle our email and SMS campaigns. This role requires a data-driven, detail-obsessed, and creative individual to grow our brand organically. This job is a full-time position based in Houston, TX, and the duties for this role include but are not limited to:

• Plan, develop, and execute email and SMS marketing strategies with set goals and outcomes
• Track and analyze email and SMS marketing metrics to supplement our data-driven strategy
• Maintain, develop, and improve our email and SMS subscription list
• Copywrite and copyedit marketing content to both drive sales and educate followers
• Research, compile, and report the latest trends and information for use in marketing materials
• Collaborate with a global cross-functional team, including design, IT, content, finance, and sales
• Create, design, and cater email and SMS content to match products with our diverse customer segments

Requirements

Vego Garden is looking for a dynamic and organized individual with an email and SMS marketing background. The right candidate should be passionate about data, design, and writing. They get excited about business, love approaching complex marketing challenges with problem-solving mindsets, and enjoy working out the fine details. A passion for fast-paced work and a love of gardening/sustainable living are appreciated for this role. If the following describes you, you’d be perfect for the role:

• Proven email and SMS marketer with 2+ years of work experience
• Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or another relevant field
• Experienced with Klaviyo, Attentive, Omnisend, Mailchimp, and/or Google Analytics
• Strong understanding of SEO/SEM, marketing automation technology, and project management
• Excellent knowledge of market segmentation and how to best communicate with different demographics.
