Marketing Development Representative

Location: Austin, TX
Description: Our client is a well known global technology company that is currently seeking a Marketing Business Representative. 

Responsible for marketing the company’s solutions and services to pre-identified prospects. Gathering information and answering questions for prospects that are interested in the company’s products. Further qualifies leads on inbound inquiries by phone and email. Once a lead is qualified, they are then directed to the internal sales teams to close the sale. Responsible for emailing and/or mailing marketing/sales literature to prospective customers, keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry as well as competitive posture of the company, and enhances awareness in the targeted business community of the company and its products/services. 

This job includes the following:

  • Adept at qualifying accounts/opportunities to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly pipeline goals
  • May serve as team lead or mentor to lesser scoped roles
  • Identify qualified sales opportunities in large, enterprise accounts 
  • Interact with IT and business decision makers via telephone and email
  • Update lead and prospect activity in to ensure effective lead management
  • Set qualified introductory meetings for the sales team 
  • Nurture early phase opportunities for future pipeline potential 
  • Exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly lead development quota (not sales)
  • Timely documentation within CRM / Marketing software of customer contact and activity data is required of this role (e.g. names, titles, contact information, opportunity value, product information, sales stages, probability, business pain, firm-future commitments, etc)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Excellent communications skills (written, verbal and social skills).
  • Uses initiative and judgement to realized defined objectives. 
  • Understands role and applies knowledge to complete a variety of related tasks 
  • Accomplishes individual assigned tasks and collaborates well with others to achieve team objectives 
  • Acquiring exposure to hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, and/or Business Intelligence software concepts and products 
  • Functioning knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, and/or Business Intelligence software concepts and products.
  • Speaks confidently, articulate, and professional
