We need a well-qualified assistant for our maintenance department.

This position includes a considerable amount of driving, communicating with various individuals, and a review/inspection of properties.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to proficiently manage their time enabling them to stay on task.

This position requires someone to be good in a fast-paced environment, detail-oriented, dependable, dedicated, friendly, and responsible.

This is an entry-level, full-time position.

Responsibilities: * Thoroughly inspect homes for tenant violations and unreported maintenance issues * Effectively communicate issues, using written and/or verbal communication, with complete and accurate information * Identify needed repairs and assign to appropriate Vendors * Perform annual, drive-by and follow-up inspections of properties * Inform clients and customers of items needing repaired and follow up to verify completion * Track completion of all inspections and communicate progress to management * Track completion of repairs resulting from inspections * Respond to tenant questions and concerns regarding maintenance needs * Map out driving routes for efficiency * Take/log meticulous notes for future review by managers and maintenance personnel * Understand the Property Management process and be able to convey helpful information to clients, customers, and office staff * Delivery and pick up of items for office * Acquire pictures of properties for various needs Skills / Education / Experience Requirements: * High school diploma or GED required; Minimum 2 years of college preferred * Ability to communicate in a manner that builds relationships, obtains needed information, and transfers that information to others * Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and able to learn customized programs quickly * Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail * Must be good with time management and have a sense of urgency * Clean driving record, clear and able to drive many hours per day * Knowledge of basic knowledge of “handyman” maintenance * Able to work in a fast-paced environment * Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments * Must be able to use common sense and make good judgments * Professional appearance and demeanor * Must be able to read, write, and understand English
