Grade: 2Grade Profile: 3-8Frequency: HourlyEducation: Required -High School Diploma, or, equivalentExperience: Required – 2 plus years of experience in janitorial or maintenance and knowledgeof chemicals and reactions, and safe and proper use of cleaning supplies andequipment.Preferred – 3 plus years related experience and/or trainingSupervises: NoneSummary: The maintenance technician cleans, sanitizes and maintains agency buildings and equipment to ensure they are safe and operational.To successfully perform this job, the employee may be expected to perform the following, with orwithout reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of1990:Essential Functions:1. Clean, sanitize and maintain buildings and equipment in accordance with agency policiesandprocedures and applicable local, state and federal rules and regulations.2. Report all unsafe conditions to supervisory staff and suggest possible solutions tohazards3. Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by program and federal partners.4. Frequently traverse from one area of the campus to another.5. Frequently move equipment weighing up to 100 pounds from one area of thecampus to another.6. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.Measurable Deliverables:1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to thisposition.2. Maintain safe and sanitized conditions in the agency buildings and equipment that meetor exceed all licensing and policy requirements3. Operate maintenance equipment and report any malfunctioning equipment immediately.4. Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions and operations.5. Implement BCFS safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case ofan emergency6. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed and as requested by the supervisor.7. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the child and program operations.8. Maintain BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in BCFS employeehandbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community membersand complying with required dress code at all times.Credentials, Skills and Abilities:1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to:?First Aid?CPR?Emergency Behavior Intervention?Other:2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.3. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.4. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.5. Demonstrate the ability to:a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural andsocio-economic characteristicsb. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers andprofessionalsc. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English (and Spanishstrongly preferred).d. Maintain knowledge of new and current equipment used to carry outmaintenance duties.e.
