Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianA Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the 7 Hills facility operating efficiently and addressing maintenance needs in a timely manner before issues worsen.

Communicating with the Operations Director is required in order to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.

Duties: Maintenance Technician will oversee multiple restaurant locations within the 7 Hills Brewing Co.

Being able to work flexible hours responding to emergencies when necessary and completing scheduled maintenance when convenient for the business owner.

Keeping a schedule of routine repairs and inspection sheets and tracking supplies is needed for proper maintenance standards of operations.

Shopping for materials and tracking receipts for reimbursement to make timely repairs is expected.

Maintenance Technicians inspect wiring, repair pipes, troubleshoot equipment, replace light bulbs and install new equipment.

They document temperature information on boilers, kitchen/bar/brewery equipment, and other temperature control systems to ensure safety and identify discrepancies that could indicate a machinery problem.Responsibilities:Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repairRepairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixturesWorking on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occursMaintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properlyApplying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roofFixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuriesPainting the building when old paint has become faded or chippedMaintaining the landscape and aesthetics of the building for visual presentation and safety to potential and current consumersSkills: Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problemsElectrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricityCarpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the buildingGroundskeeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenanceInterpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant mannerAttention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlookedPhysical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
