Pump & Power Technician

– from those in the commercial, residential, industrial, municipal, and specialized service industries, to weekend do-it-yourselfers.

Their extensive fleet exceeds $4.0 billion and includes general construction equipment, industrial tools, pumps and power generation equipment, trench shoring, scaffolding, remediation & restoration equipment, and more.

Position: Pump & Power Technician Location: Southern CA Pay: $28 per hour 15% overtime The Pump & Power Shop Technician maintains and repairs all types of equipment offered by the company (e.g., pumps, generators, air compressors, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment), including diagnosing complex equipment problems while following all safety rules.

In this role, you will ensure equipment is in good working order for rental customers, without down time, using cost-effective methods.

You will come to possess expert knowledge on all of company equipment offerings and be able to diagnose complex issues.

Responsibilities:
• Service and oversee major repairs of all types of equipment as required to ensure proper working condition when leaving the shop; dismantles and reassembles/rebuilds equipment; fabricates parts and equipment as required to meet shop and customer needs; diagnoses complex mechanical equipment problems
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and down time in the field
• Maintain a clean and safe shop work environment
• Provide support to other mechanics engaged in equipment repairs or maintenance
• Assess time and cost of repairs
• Attend all training and manufacturing training as directed
• Perform safety inspections on equipment and adhere to all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements
• Attend and participates in all Profit Center Meetings Qualifications:
• Possess a strong knowledge of individual equipment design and safety requirements
• Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety and a high level of safety consciousness
• Ability to communicate equipment issues and direct others on job assignments
• Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot complex equipment problems
• Experience with diesel heavily preferred.
