How You Will ContributeThe Make-Ready Technician is responsible for ensuring that all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to “market ready” status in a timely manner.

They pay special attention to detail as this will become a future resident’s new home.You will float among properties located in the DFW area performing Make Readies and general Maintenance duties.

Position could lead to single property based opportunity and advancement.

Things You Will DoInspect vacated apartments and complete a make-ready checklistInform Service Supervisor and Community Manager of needed services and repairsRoutinely perform the following duties in order to restore the apartment to “market ready” status:Check all lights and replace as necessaryReplace or repair windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrorsCheck appliances and inform Maintenance Supervisor of problemsAssist in changing or removing appliances from apartmentMake keysCheck faucets and sink plugs and repair/replace as necessaryAssist with painting dutiesRepair or replace mini-blinds, ceiling fans, etc.Repair plaster holes in wallsInspect bathroom tiles, perform minor repairs/replacementsChange A/C filtersLend assistance during “trash-out,” move heavy/bulky items to dumpsterAssist in keeping grounds clean at all timesAssist maintenance when requestedDeliver notices to all apartmentsReport supply needs to Service Supervisor or Community ManagerThink safety first and ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected promptlyCommunicate effectively with residents, future residents, visitors, vendors, and team members while presenting a positive, professional imagePerform additional duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager Things You Will NeedHigh School diploma or equivalentGeneral knowledge of all things pertaining to property maintenanceSkill in the safe use and maintenance of power toolsWillingness to work a flexible workweek including weekends and on-call hoursAble to multitask and meet deadlinesKnowledgeable of pertinent laws including EPA and OSHA regulationsMust be able to walk the property which includes climbing stairsAble to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, carry supplies and stand for extended periods of timeWhat We Will Provide YouSouth Oxford Management provides a range of insurance options and benefits for our full-time team members.
