The effective candidate will be attentive on enhancing the technical proficiency of GDT Operation’s GDT lab.This role will be regularly involved in the day-to-day functions outlined below:Mechanical inspection by performing inspection of machine parts and castings utilizing various inspection techniques and equipment to assure functional performance according to drawing specifications.Receiving inspection and test of incoming material received at the McKinney, TX site.Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) programming and Inspection utilizing the latest version of PC-DMIS CAD ++.Additionally, the effective candidate will participate in the resolution of technical issues found through Receiving Inspection and may work with suppliers to resolve non-conformances. As needed, they will interface with the program for technical issues regarding part issues (Drawing Interpretation, Inspection Requirements, and Defect Identification).The selected candidate will validate and disposition actual defects for both Hardware and Documentation Quality Notifications (QN). Must be able to assist in the investigation of internal receiving inspection escapes to prevent future occurrences.U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.Required Skills* Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Mechanical Inspector with advanced skills in the programming and operation of Brown & Sharpe Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) utilizing PC-DMIS.* Advanced skills in the use of 3D Models for programming.* Able to perform inspection of machine parts and castings utilizing CMM’s, Micro-Hite, Tool Makers Microscope, Optical Comparator, Surface Plate, Indicators, SuperMic, Transfer Gauges, Thread Gauges, Deltronic Pins, Micrometers, Calipers, Leveling Plates, etc.; utilizing drawings, CAD databases, and applicable standards.* Extensive experience with Open Setups to inspect orientation, location and form.* Evidence-based experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.* Extensive experience with blueprints, MIL-STDs, technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documents.* Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as SAP (PRISM).* Experience with performing First Article Inspections.* Must be able to provide support on weekends and extended hours on a surge basis.* Participate in cause and corrective actions to alleviate production difficulties.* Ability to work within a technical environment developing/implementing practical solutions to a range of obstacles in quality systems, process control, and materials.* Participate in Incoming and/or Production Inspection.* Monitor inventory accuracy.* Collaborate with Programs to accurately determine factory requirements and priorities.* Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.* Effective written and verbal communication skills that allow for proper and precise result descriptions.* Thorough reading, writing, verbal and presentation skills for interaction at various levels of management and within the organization.* Have interpersonal skills and ability to work well with employees, teammates, and customers.* Candidate should have a meaningful desire for safety and security.* Ability to perform job assignments with little to no assistance.Desired Skills* Ability to influence without authority* Working knowledge of SAP* Critical thinking, problem solving, and business communication skills* VisiPrise Manufacturing* Mechanical Inspection* Electrical Inspection* Manufacturing* PC-DMIS* AutoCAD* Pro-ERequired EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent181183Raytheon Technologies is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
