Aeronautical Flight Test Engineer Specialist (US Citizen) – Waco with Security Clearance

Job Description: * Flight Test Engineers (FTE) are engaged in airworthiness qualification testing covering a wide variety of test activities including structural, traditional performance and handling qualities, flutter, powerplant, and captive/carry just to name a few.
* They are also exposed to a broad range of platforms including both fixed (heavy transport, turboprop, bus-jet, etc.) and rotary wing working with many different customer qualifying agencies including the FAA, military and foreign government. Essential Functions: * Responsible for coordinating the daily flight test effort. * Will be involved with all aspects of flight-testing including preparation of FAA certification and/or military test plans and reports to approved formats and development of the test sequence and test cards for each flight.
* Additional duties include planning, coordinating, and conducting of performance, handling qualities, structural, and other tests to verify aircraft airworthiness, coordination with the flight crew, instrumentation, maintenance, engineering, and inspection representatives to ensure the aircraft is properly configured to meet test objectives.
* Ensures onboard and telemetry data has been retrieved and processed for posting to the test database and network folders, he processes and coordinates test requests and manages all flight test generated documentation.
* May also participate as an on-board flight test engineer or as the Telemetry Room Test Conductor to support real time test safety-of-flight monitoring and data acquisition. Qualifications: * BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 4 years Aerospace engineering experience.
* Must have Flight Test engineering experience.
* Must be able to work any shift, weekends and overtime as required.
* Must be able to travel as necessary.
* Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
* Must have experience in basic Microsoft Office software applications including Word and Excel.
