Job DetailsDescriptionThe American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities.

We are currently seeking a Senior Education and Conference Specialist for our Chicago office.

This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).Please visit us at https://www.Aha.Org/centerThe Senior Education and Conference Specialist is responsible for the management, planning and execution of AHA Center for Health Innovation educational programs, including AHA Leadership Summit and the AHA Next Generation Leaders Fellowship program.

Responsibilities include designing the programs and defining objectives; developing agendas and curriculum plans; recruiting and managingspeakers and faculty; establishing and tracking/forecasting budgets that include revenue targets in addition to expense; and evaluating event outcomes and impact.

This individual has P& L responsibility for assigned programs.

The individual will work collaboratively with internal teams including: Meetings & Travel on event planning; Communications on marketing the event to potential sponsors and attendees; and Product Development& Sales to design and offer sponsorship packages.Develops strategy for educational programs, including value propositions; program and participantobjectives; and attendee personas.Responsible for the overall curriculum design and implementation of programs.

Identifies curricular themes; develops agendas; reviews educational materials, presentations, etc.

Employs creative formats for in-person and virtual knowledge exchange and learning.

Writes session descriptions and other materials, including speaker scripts, panel questions, etc.

Works collaboratively with internal issue leads to share leading practices and highlight members.

Designs and implements program evaluations.Qualifies and recruits prospective program faculty.

Coordinates speaker participation, which often requires communication with C-level leaders and their teams.

Works with speakers bureaus to select, negotiate contracts with and prepare keynote speakers.

Ensures speakers have all information they need prior to participating in an event.Supervises development and production of marketing collateral, including but not limited to: web content, agendas, speaker bios, presentations and other various materials, along with production of signage, name badges, tent cards and other live event staging materials.Creates and maintains timelines/work plans and provides ongoing reporting, updates and communication with all vested parties.
