Application Development Executive


This is a Full-time position in Schertz, TX posted March 2, 2021.

Purpose of Jobn nPlans, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the organization’s applications development and analysis function.

Manages multiple development teams supporting different lines of businesses.

Work closely with clients in order to map and support their operational needs.

Responsible for developing, distributing, supporting, enforcing, and integrating best practices and technology standards across the organization.n nJob Requirementsn nTasks:n nDirectly manages individual contributors and/or people-managers within a sub-functional team.n nPerforms workload management and prioritization duties in support of operations for the functional area assigned.n nDemonstrates executive-level thought leadership, strategy development, and operational planning.n nApplies subject-matter-expert functional knowledge to lead subordinate workers in producing work deliverables in support of departmental initiatives.n nLeads broad functional projects.n nDevelops functional policies, procedures and guidelines.n nIdentifies opportunities and facilitates major improvements to processes and systems.n nPerforms highly complex tasks under minimal supervision and has discretion to deviate from established procedures and guidelines.n nServes in an executive leadership capacity and has responsibility for performance management and professional development activities for subordinate workers.n nMinimum Education:n nBachelor’s degree required.n n4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.n nMinimum Experience:n n10 or more years of progressive related experience developing strategies, managing major initiatives and delivering results within a complex matrix environment required.n n4 or more years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams required.n nExperience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic goals required.n nExecutive-level business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required.n nPreferred:n nSignificant experience and technical acumen with Identity and Access Management (IAM) technology solutionsn nSkilled in IT strategic thought leadershipn nKnowledge of industry emerging trends for security technologyn nKnowledge of Agile (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) delivery methodologiesn nExecution background with software delivery and maintenancen nStrong experience with Business Relationship Managementn nStrong Financial Management Acumen/Disciplinen nExperience with product and platform management in order to achieve customer outcomesn nExperience with risk management and frameworksn nCompensation:n nUSAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.

The salary range for this position is: $135,200-$243,500n nEmployees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.n nLong Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executive level roles only, representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based.n nStipend: (AVP+ only): As an EMG Member (AVP+), you will receive an annual stipend (amounts determined by level) which will be paid in quarterly installments.n nMedical Stipend: (SVP+ roles only): As a Senior Officer (SVPs and above), you will receive an Annual Medical Stipend for you and yourn nSpousen nBenefits:n nAt USAA our employees enjoy best-in-class benefits to support their physical, financial, and emotional wellness.
