What you’ll do as a Benefits Specialist:

  • You will provide diverse support throughout CalTech’s benefit enrollment process by overseeing, reviewing, and recommending benefit plan options for CalTech including COBRA, health, dental, vision, disability, HSA, gym membership, and retirement.
  • Answer employee questions and support CalTech’s Human Resources Department.
  • Oversee and manage benefit statements, PTO, required audits and reporting.
  • You will also ensure CalTech’s policies and procedures related to benefits align with laws and best practices. 

What skills you’ll need:

  • You have strong attention to detail, skill for organization and meeting deadlines consistently. 
  • Ideally, you have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a relevant field.
  • It’s preferred you have a SHRM-CP or GBA certification.
  • You have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of benefits related law and guidelines is a must.

Working Conditions

This position involves in-office work and occasional travel for training and team meetings. Some after-business hours will be required.
