Develops and maintains documentation related to process improvements, procedures, departmental KPI’s, automation opportunities, etc.

Serves as backup and assists with vendor reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and AP and AR transactional processes.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks with accounting team and collaborates with others to achieve department and Company objectives.Maintains effective internal controls over the Company’s accounting procedures and financial systems.Creates and maintains process documentations and guidelines to ensure consistency throughout department.Builds and automates SAP reports to provide weekly/monthly metrics to management.Develops and implements performance improvement strategies to be utilized in departmental projects.Participates in and leads cross-departmental projects as necessary.Assists department personnel with researching and resolving related issues.Serves as backup for all areas of Centralized Services and assists with functions such as: sorting and processing invoices, processing bank deposits, month-end close activities, etc.Assists department personnel with reconciliations for vendor accounts, bank statements, third-party processors, and balance sheets.

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesIntermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Intermediate project management skills.Intermediate knowledge of reconciliation software such as Blackline or Trintech.Basic knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.Proficient problem solving, mathematical and sound judgment skillsAbility to work on a team or independently with strong attention to detail.Ability to review and comprehend detailed reports, account statements, and procedure manuals.Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.Ability to organize and prioritize time.Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.

Education, Experience, and QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in related field and five or more years of related experience required.

Physical DemandsContinuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.Frequently required to talk and hear.Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex.
