The role:Operations Lead is responsible for executing and maintaining all operational functions within the Store Opening Department to maximize efficiencies and drive productivity in all required stages of store development.Store Design:In partnership with experiential design, responsible to recommend and seek continuous opportunities to improve and optimize store operations flow and functionality within our storesWith a focus on staff workflow, storage, workspace setup, order fulfillment, technology, supply management and administration, the New Store Opening Lead will advocate and standardize store operations needs and ensure objectives across functionality, efficiency/productivity, and accuracy are achieved consistently within the four walls.Responsible for all cross-functional project management to ensure the store is equipped to open and generate revenue on time.

This includes but is not limited toStore Operational Requirements: In collaboration with the Retail Expansion Department and other cross-functional departments, responsible to research all operational requirements based on market (language, signage, taxes, hours of operations, tender, privacy requirements etc.)Supplies: Responsible to order, audit, update and maintain all retail operational supplies including ordering, shipping, on site receipt and set up for all store needsInventory Setup: In partnership with the Inventory and Purchasing and Planning, ensure our inventory is picked, packed and received on time following our requirements and standards.

Accountable to our inventory organization and overall setup.

Counting and keeping track of all products.Hardware/software: In collaboration with IT, ensure all required hardware systems are installed and functioning on time.L& D: Collaborate with L& D to ensure on-site training days are planned to meet learning objectives and store setup objectivesMarketing & Creative: Collaborate with Experiential Marketing, and Creative teams to develop and coordinate on-site setup tasks, schedules and timelines, and to be a representative of all retail considerations and requirements.Train the team and actively guide the team to meet monthly, weekly goals and be a sales lead.Act as the project manager on site, to ensure all setup team members are executing tasks to open on time with excellent accuracy, and driving resolution to overcome any risks and roadblocksIdentify areas of improvement pertaining to store setup tasks, timeline, and effort requiredAccountable to provide detailed updates to direct report and cross functional leaders, ensuring all teams are working effectively together and there is cohesion between activitiesThings we consider and asset:Bachelor’s Degree, Degree or Certificate in project management, retail management or equivalent considered an assetStrong business acumen and understanding of retail standards at scale and best practicesExperience with project management and/or leading expansion projects such as openings, closures, relocations, temporary locations (pop-ups and shop-in-shops)2+ years of operations leadership experience within retail or hospitalityExperience working within a fast-growing businessProficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets, Google Suite
