Business Development Executive – Facilities

The Building People

This is a Contract position in Dallas, TX posted September 2, 2021.

The Building People is in search of a self-driven individual to complement our growing team to develop new business within the federal/DoD market.

The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented individual who can create long-term, trusting customer relationships.

Responsibilities Develops, organizes, and executes client call plans around The Building People’s capabilities Identifies, qualifies, and supports the capture and closure of business opportunities and works with operations to shape such opportunities Conducts analysis of market opportunities supporting the Real Estate Services lifecycle from development to disposal including engineering, workplace services, facilities management, operations and maintenance, and Smart Building.

Develops final win themes, win strategies, value propositions, and differentiators Assesses and continually updates competitor capabilities, performs analysis of competitor strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats (SWOT), and conducts team gap analysis Establishes the team needed to bid the procurement, including subcontractors Ensures a coherent, integrated The Building People message to customers while promoting the full breadth and depth of The Building People’s services and solutions that can support the customer’s mission Supports overall proposal development efforts to include reviewing/editing proposal responses, participation on “color” and review teams, and providing support across functional lines.

Develops and tracks a strategic Call Plan which includes regular, periodic meetings with strategically relevant customer contacts Required Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, Technology or related field or equivalent work experience Understanding and experience working with U.S.

Government ID/IQ or Multiple Award Type Contract vehicles Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to present complex issues to multi-level audiences of company and government executives General knowledge of Real Estate Services, more specifically electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, HVAC, custodial, security, facilities management, energy efficiency upgrades, grounds maintenance, and facility condition assessments Knowledge of U.S.

commercial and Government standards, regulations and codes will be beneficial (e.g., DoD Unified Facility Criteria, OSHA, NIST, RMF, etc.) Knowledge of energy, building control, fire alarm, electronic security, and electrical services projects Proficient in MS Office suite applications and Salesforce Required Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, Technology or related field or equivalent work experience Additional Requirements Candidate must be United States Citizen with the potential ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level U.S.
