The OpenAccess Product Engineer is responsible for the following:Having a thorough understanding of the OpenAccess data model and APIs, and how it is used within Virtuoso, the DFII infrastructure and in interoperable flows with other tools.
Providing support to the relevant PEs and engineers from Cadence product groups who use the OA API and translators to build interoperable flows.Managing requests for enhancementsClarifying and prioritizing requestProposing alternatives if possibleConsulting with OA R& D to understand viable approachesAuthoring requirements documentation to drive the functional specThe position requires the ability to build consensus with other Cadence engineering groups located globally.Required skills:Basic C++ programmingUnderstanding of data modeling, data structures and algorithmsFamiliarity with custom IC design data models, tools and flowsStrong communications skills, both written and verbal
