ChampionX: Senior Fx Analyst


This is a Full-time position in The Woodlands, TX posted August 18, 2021.

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Senior FX Analyst located in The Woodlands, TX.

This position will support FX, interest rate, and currency risk analysis and management.

The Senior FX Analyst will report to the VP & Treasurer.

What You Will Do:Identify currency exposures, develop appropriate hedging strategies, and execute FX transactions for balance sheet and cash flow foreign currency hedging programsReal-time quantitative analysis of hedging performance with a focus on identifying areas for improving program effectiveness and efficiencyEvaluate, monitor, and communicate bank counterparty performanceResearch new markets and foreign exchange trading capabilities as neededSupport hedge accounting process, including executing hedge accounting transactions, reports and preparing journal entries for accounting groupsSupport quarter-end external reporting process on disclosures related to FX and interest rate derivativesSupport affiliate financing via intercompany loans, including issuance of new loans, administer existing loans, perform month-end interest calculations, and provide loan report to region finance controllers.Support Capital Market activities, including establishing/updating corporate WACC and Hurdle rates, lease versus buy decisions and analytics related to debt management.Provide business support on Letters of Credit, Bank GuaranteesPartner with the cash management team to support global liquidity needs of ChampionXCross-functional collaboration with internal groups such as accounting, tax, legal counsel, and advisorsOther duties as assigned, which may include cash management and forecasting support, acquisition integration, and processes and procedure improvements Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or other quantitative field and 5+ years of relevant experience, with basic knowledge of FX trading, hedging strategies, and risk managementStrong problem solving, analytical reasoning and financial modeling expertiseSelf-starter, able to draw solid, independent conclusions based on ambiguous informationHigh motivation and desire to learn quicklyUnafraid to challenge assumptions and status quo; comfortable with change Preferred Qualifications:Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlinesContinuous improvement mindset, team player, unquestionable integrity, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, and aligned with our cultural values.
