Claims Team Leader- Special Investigation Unit

This is a Full-time position in Dallas, TX posted July 9, 2021.

To supervise and direct the SIU Unit in order to ensure accurate and timely resolution of suspicious claims, while maintaining high standards of performance and superior quality service.

What does a CLAIMS TEAM LEADER – SIU do?

  • Ensures legal compliance by reviewing files for accuracy and quality; keeping abreast of company policies, industry trends and state regulations.
  • Accomplishes department staff results by setting and communicating clear goals; tracking inventory; generating referrals; assigning cases; evaluating performance; providing feedback; coaching and training employees; conducting meetings; expediting investigation resolution.
  • Maintains quality service by proactively communicating with unit staff and upper management; collaborating with other departments in order to exchange information and coordinate activities; responding to inquiries in a timely manner.

What is required?

Education:

  • College degree preferred
  • Active Personal Lines or Private Investigator license preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-4 years claims experience in the auto insurance industry. Minimum 2 years investigative and surveillance experience.
  • Prior leadership experience is required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Other skills and abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to manage own time while prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult customers
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • Ability to gather and analyze information in order to evaluate results and choose the best solution to the problem.  
  • Occasional weekend work may be required
