Position Summary

Avantax Planning Partners, a subsidiary of Blucora and sister company to Avantax Wealth Management and TaxAct, seeks a Client Development Specialist to develop and communicate strategies for CPA Affiliates to make client introductions to Avantax Planning Partners.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conducts regular client development calls with CPAs.

Identifies and qualifies prospective clients.

Perform various research tasks about client development activity.

Tracks and reports client development activity in CRM, to supervisor, financial planning consultants, CPA firm leadership, and other APP leaders.

Communicates strategies and ideas for successful introductions to the APP/CPA partnership.

Manages and directs CPA expectations and understanding of the business development process.

Develops financial plans with CPAs and offers guidance.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Works toward continuous quality improvements and service.

Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university, and at least two years related wealth management experience and/or training required.

Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, CRM Database, PowerPoint, Email, and Internet usage.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

Series 65 and state insurance license, preferred.

CFP preferred.

Physical Demand & Work Effort

Keying/typing, standing, walking.

Sitting for an extended period.

Constant mental and/or visual attention is either repetitive or diversified, requiring constant alertness in an office environment.

The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.

Compliance with company attendance standards.
