We’re looking for motivated individuals who have a passion for Collections. High Character is the Core of Locke Supply Culture. This position will be based out of The Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.
What are the requirements?
- Minimum of 4 years collections experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related fields.
- Experience in Business to Business collections
- Strong customer service skills, that include relationship building, effective communication skills (both verbal and written), and the ability to listen with the intent to learn.
- Demonstrates professionalism, leadership and conveys sound judgement, builds trust with customers and the internal team; is collaborative insightful, and proactive.
- Ability to work independently when needed, but also able to work in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new computer systems.
- Self-motivated and willingness to learn and try new things.
- Able and willing to travel overnight and multiple nights. (50% or greater)
- Ability to work independently and within the greater collections and finance team.
- A person that can partner with others internally and externally.
What are the responsibilities?
The following sets forth the primary responsibilities for this position but is not exhaustive:
- Research past due accounts, including first payment defaults, to ensure that errors are detected promptly. Work with sales team to partner with the customers to find resolutions.
- Contacting customers in various stages of delinquency and negative accounts via phone, mail, or in person.
- Asking direct questions with a customer service tone to understand situations and work with customers to find solutions.
- Educate customers on options and work with them to ensure their accounts are moved from delinquent to current.
- Mange multiple delinquent accounts.
- Ensure proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed.
- Utilizing tracing methods to locate customers.
- Analyzes and calculates customers’ ability to repay owed amounts.
- Support Locke’s mission.
- Able to work individually, managing your own schedule and workload.
- Consistently act as part of a cohesive team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills in the ability to interact positively with other employees. Maintain open and respectful communication with other departments. Handle conflict directly and discreetly.
- Demonstrates professionalism in dress, tone, flexibility and communication.
- Working both remotely and in the office, travel and overnights are required of this position.
