Compensation Specialist


This is a Full-time position in Plano, TX posted August 29, 2021.

Position Title: Compensation Specialist

The main function of a HR Compensation Specialist is to help plan, direct, and coordinate Compensation activities for the Total Rewards team. Responsible for supporting Compensation Partners daily activities including offer tracking and auditing, evaluating position levels, developing reports, and coordinating Workday approvals.

Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate job positions, determining classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary.
Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales.
Prepare reports, such as organization and flow chards, and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information.
Support Manager, Compensation and Compensation Specialist in all matters concerning the administration of compensation programs.
Data collection and analysis including preparation of models for scenario analyses.
Tracking internal and external offers and Workday actions.
Approve Workday transactions submitted by HRBPs and Talent Acquisition Managers.
Submit salary adjustments and compensation changes in Workday.
Coordinate offer approvals with TA operations and ensure accuracy of data entered into Workday.

Advanced Excel Skills
Proficient with Workday
Ability to work with large amounts of data with a high degree of accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action).
Knowledge of Compensation pay practices.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Power Point.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required.
