As a Consumer Credit Specialist, this position will be located in Pittsburgh, PA, Northern VA, Cleveland, OH Charlotte, NC Dallas, TX Houston, TX or Birmingham, ALPosition OverviewPNC is seeking a Consumer Credit Specialist in the Credit Decision Rules Management Team within the Retail Lending Analytics & Decision Management Group. This team supports Retail Lending strategies and initiatives through Policy and Procedure content ownership and collateral valuation strategy, while ensuring alignment with regulation as well as internal rules and strategies.The position primarily covers Residential Real Estate Secured products, however, there will also be connectivity into other Retail Lending products including auto, unsecured loans and credit card. A key aspect of the role is to partner closely with other Decision Management functions, Product owners, Operations and other stakeholders to help drive changes to credit and collateral strategies across the various credit lifecycle stages. You will need to possess a solid understanding of internal credit policies and procedures, as well as product features and operational processes. In addition, you will need to rely on strong written and verbal communication skills in order to capture the what, how and why for complex initiatives with non-technical audiencesExperience in a 1st or 2nd line role dealing with retail lending products, processes and/or credit policies. Specific experience with mortgage/home equity/collateral valuation is a plus.Job DescriptionReviews activities associated with applicable business segment, including the credit approval process, policy and procedural compliance and portfolio risk management, credit monitoring, and reporting.Reviews the extension of credit, including overdrafts, for clients of varying degrees of complexity within prescribed approval authorities.Ensures that credit facilities have been appropriately structured, underwritten and approved within the context of credit policies. Monitors proper execution of scorecards within parameters and supports scorecard-related validation, testing and maintenance activities.May direct and assess analytic activities of partners to ensure understanding of portfolio issues, trends and root causes in order to manage credit portfolios effectively. Monitors follow-up and reviews output to inform decision-making. Interacts with clients as necessary to perform due diligence and support client relationship credit exposure strategy.Monitors risk in assigned credit portfolios by reviewing relevant reporting and assessing trends. May request ad hoc analytics and reporting.
