Contract Administrator – Remote

Primex Family of Companies

This is a Full-time position in Garland, TX posted September 9, 2021.

We are looking for a Contract Administrator to join our team at the Primex Family of Companies (PFOC).

The Contract Administrator will be tasked with preparation, negotiation, and review of various contracts for suppliers, vendors, and customers primarily in the areas of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), customer sales agreements, vendor contracts, purchase order and other appropriate legal documents.

You will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with various teams within the company as well as with PFOC’s outside legal counsel and other appropriate external parties.

A successful Contract Administrator will demonstrate strong attention to detail alongside the ability to detect potential risks for PFOC and will be able to perform all duties while ensuring compliance with the law.

Our ideal candidate has previous experience managing contracts and is familiar with legal requirements and terms of use.

Ultimately, the Contract Administrator should aim to ensure all of PFOC’s contracts conform to legal requirements and meet our company goals.

Responsibilities:
Prepare/review NDAs and contracts for sales, purchases, and other appropriate legal documents..

Negotiate contract terms with internal and external partners.

Review and update existing contracts.

Write letters of agreement and formal notices.

Explain terms and conditions to managers and/or relevant parties.

Ensure that employees understand and comply with PFOC contracts in collaboration with Human Resources.

Analyze and report on potential risks involved with specific contract terms
– coordinate with legal counsel as needed.

Answer customer/supplier/vendor questions and provide additional detail as necessary.

Stay up to date on legislative changes and apply knowledge to relevant aspects of contract work.

Ensure all deadlines and conditions outlined in contracts are met (payments, shipping orders, etc.).

Maintain an organized system of physical and digital records within PFOC’s system.

Create/maintain language standards for existing and new contracts.

Since we are all about teamwork and getting things done, your skills may be put to other uses as well (for example, this role may occasionally include some accounting tasks).

Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a Contract Administrator or closely related administrative law position.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or closely related subject; additional law qualifications are a plus.

Demonstrated knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts and an ability to apply it to the specific needs of our company.

Familiarity with accounting and sales procedures.

Excellent writing skills.

Outstanding communication abilities.

Keen attention to detail with an ability to spot errors.

Strong analytical and observational skills.

Ability to work cross functionally with varying seniority levels including management, staff, and external partners.

Capable of learning new programs/software.
