Customer Rentention Specialist


This is a Contract position in Lucas, TX posted August 23, 2021.

The Customer Retention Specialist is responsible for identifying at risk customers and working to retain their business. The position will successfully retain customers by creating reports and performing customer touches to ensure retention.

Key Duties:

  • Monitor key accounts shipment volume
  • Open lines of communication for repeat customers and assist as needed
  • Responsible for coordinating and assisting key customers with order entry, account management, tracing, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain sales-related records and progress reports. Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports, as required.
  • Effectively demonstrate and train GPX customers on the online order entry and shipment tracking application
  • Be a liaison between customer and Field Operations/Customer Support staff to improve customer experience
  • All other duties assigned by Management


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • College degree preferred
  • 3-5 years Customer Service / Transportation experience
  • 2-5 years Sales experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong time management, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Thorough knowledge of United States geography
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and prioritize multiple tasks
