DoD Business Analyst – Corp Internship

This is a Full-time position in Canyon Lake, TX posted September 4, 2021.

DoD Business Analyst Internship San Antonio, TX or Aberdeen, MD No Clearance Requirement The DoD Business Analyst Internship will provide transitioning service members with the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of practical scenarios supporting DoD and VA programs.

This particular internship is structured to provide the service member with training and on the job experience in the field of Business Development and Program Management.

As a part of this program, the intern will be provided hands on training with senior staff throughout the company.

The intern will report directly to the business development team, participating in the analysis of federal contracts, reviewing solicitation material, and supporting the proposal process.

This program requires participation that represents a normal duty day / full time employment.

Responsibilities: * Support research tasks including the analysis of current and future contracting opportunities* Participants in this program will have access to research tools such as Bloomberg Government, GovWin, and FPDS, and other research / subscription tools * Provide analysis of ongoing contracts including operational and financial analysis* Participate in the development of proposals for federal customers including DoD, VA, and other customers* Assist with file / data management* Conduct writing reviews, following the Shipley process* Other duties may be assigned based on skillset and aptitude of participants* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position Qualifications: To achieve the best possible outcomes of this internship, an individual must have a baseline set of skills and abilities.

Required Language Skills * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, proposals, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills * Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.

Experience/Education * A minimum of at least 4 years’ experience* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field Computer Skills * Must have working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Outlook.* Must have working knowledge of SharePoint Desired The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

* DAU Training: Any Defense Acquisition University Training will be very valuable.

Key Career fields include: Contracting, Engineering, Information Technology, Life Cycle Logistics, Program Management, or Test and Evaluation* Experience with any Air Force Program Management Office or the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center* Understanding of basic program management methodologies* Lean Six Sigma Training Clearance * A Secret Clearance or Top Secret (TS//SCI) Clearance is desired but not required.
