Full – Time Faculty – Associate Degree Nursing Program

Lorain County Community College

This is a Full-time position in Fort Worth, TX posted February 13, 2023.

The faculty position will teach courses in behavioral health and medical surgical nursing at various levels in the program.

Responsibilities of faculty members will include teaching lecture, clinical and laboratory components of the program; participate in nursing curriculum development and assessment including program review; advise students and assess student achievement.

The faculty member will participate in college governance, engage in scholarship and professional growth, and support the LCCC mission, vision, and values.

Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and travel to outreach programs.

This grant, made possible by the Brave of Heart Fund, is designed to support “community colleges that are creating stronger pathways to employment equity for BIPOC and first-generation students in nursing programs by increasing enrollment, completion, licensure, and jobs and careers that lead to social and economic mobility.” The LCCC Nursing faculty is composed of a diverse group of educators who collectively share the goal of high-quality nursing education .

The Nursing Program Philosophy is to provide an excellent nursing education experience that enables students to graduate as ethical, compassionate and knowledgeable nurses.

Professional Statement Topic: Please tell us how you would promote student learning and success when teaching first generation BIPOC students.

Required Qualifications: Master’s in Nursing with current behavioral health and medical surgical nursing experience with current clinical, lab or teaching experience.

Current Unencumbered Ohio Registered Nursing License.

Preferred Qualifications: Distance learning experience.

Preferred advanced degrees in nursing such as a DNP or PhD.
