This is a Full-time position in Arlington, TX posted April 29, 2021.

Overview:The Credit Analyst is responsible for researching and analyzing credit risks, assessing credit history and approving or denying extension of credit to potential customers.

This team member has contact with other company departments, as well as automobile dealers, and other finance and credit sources.Responsibilities:JOB DUTIESAnalyze credit data to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit; Make decisions to approve or deny the extension of credit within set credit authority established by senior management and State/Federal lawsDevelop sufficient dealer relationships that ensure volume objectives and credit qualityCapture automotive finance contracts that meet GM Financial profitability criteria for pricing and performanceEnsure compliance with applicable policies and proceduresEnsure branch office cooperation with other departments to maximize efficiency within the companyEnsure all queues are worked to acceptable service levelsConduct joint dealer calls with Dealer Account Representative (DAR) on an as needed basisPerform outbound telemarketing calls to the dealer customerEnsure proper documentation is received on all dealsPerform other duties as assignedConform with all company policies and proceduresQualifications:KnowledgeWorking knowledge of consumer credit, credit laws and regulationsKnowledge of the Companys credit policiesKnowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirementsKnowledge of motor vehicle retail installment documentationKnowledge of indirect retail auto financingKnowledge consumer finance and banking environmentKnowledge of the retail automobile finance industrySkillsStrong work ethicStrong analytical and problem solving skillsCredit underwriting skillsEffective oral and written communication skillsCustomer relations skillsAbility to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environmentAbility to professionally represent GM FinancialAbility to multi-taskEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelors Degree with emphasis in Marketing/Finance or in a related field, or equivalent experience preferredExperience0-2 years of relevant experience preferredLicensesMust complete credit certification training Upon Hire requiredWorking ConditionsFast-paced office environment subject to stressful situationsFlexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime or split shifts may be requiredStrong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customersSubject to daily service level requirementsLimited travel may be required to support business needs
