HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANTSUMMARY:Support the Human Resources functions for the assigned facility.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Arrange interviews, administer assessments and pre-employment testing, and maintain recruitment records for production employees.2. Schedule new employee orientations.3. Monitor completion of initial training for new hires in production and maintains records of training.4. Administer daily functions for employee benefits programs. Examples include health care, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, savings plans, vacation, leave of absence, and employee assistance.5. Review invoices for benefits plans and compares to enrollment records (forms and HR/payroll system). Submit invoices to corporate AP for payment.6. Verify accuracy of time and attendance records.7. Generate hourly and salaried payroll maintenance documents, obtain proper approvals/signatures, and forward documents to corporate payroll administration.8. Participate in plant safety committee and maintain necessary records.9. Generate and maintain records of benefits plan participation, employment status changes, performance reviews, and employee statistics for internal and external reporting purposes.10. Provide support to Human Resources Representative on employee relations issues and disciplinary actions. Maintain necessary records.11. Respond to internal inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.12. Generate and maintain records of employee statistics for government reporting.13. Comply with plant objectives, including quality system, security, and environmental.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:None.TRAVEL:Infrequent travel to other company facilities and other locations as required for training purposes; less than 10%.CONFIDENTIALITY:Access to confidential data including personnel records, salaries and wages, dependent information, benefits enrollments, and related Protected Health Information.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Two to three years in an administrative role, Human Resources experience preferred.EDUCATION REQUIRED:Associates degree preferred.
