To fuel that growth, we have another exciting opportunity as an Insurance Customer Service Representative with BIG Insurance Solutions, an Acrisure Agency Partner.

The Insurance Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling incoming billing and eligibility phone calls and for serving as the primary customer interface for departmental inquiries.

The Insurance Customer Service Representative is a member of a personal lines team providing customer service for personal lines clients.

This position is also responsible for gathering and organizing data, and preparing and presenting quotations to clients as well as a variety of other duties.

This position can be based in either Austin or San Antonio, TX.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Renewing lines of coverage + Cross selling lines of coverage and identify opportunities to write new business + Assisting clients with billing, claims and coverage questions + Negotiating insurance quotes for new business and requotes for retention + Checking policies for accuracy + Documenting policy correspondence and maintaining all client activity in the Agency system + General requirements ordinary to managing a book of business + Billing inquiries and payments + Proactive management of renewal process + Policy changes including auto, homeowners and mortgage changes + Working with clients to address claims processes and identify potential issues + Exercise judgment and discretion in important matters related to the proper coverage for the client This description is not meant to be all-inclusive and may be modified from time to time at the discretion of management.

Education and/or Experience: + High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent, required + Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in the Insurance Industry + Active P insurance license, required + Bi-lingual preferred (English and Spanish) Computer/Technology Skills: + Basic knowledge of PC’s Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel + Experience with agency management systems (HawkSoft and/or Epic is preferred) Other Qualifications : + Ability to work with minimum supervision, self-motivation and is driven + Able to accept direction on given assignments + Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines + Strong analytical skills with attention and commitment to a high level of accuracy + Must understand importance and demonstrate ability to be at work and independently start working on time and maintain regular schedule + Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy + Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks to complete in timely manner, and detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills + Ability to stay focused on multiple tasks and see each one through to completion + Work well with others and openly share information and resources + Enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members + Able to work effectively in a team environment + Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines + The ability to multi task, prioritize, work independently and use discretion surrounding sensitive information + Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude and effort to achieve goals and objectives + Strong knowledge of all basic P coverages with a focus on policies for auto, property, dwelling fire, personal umbrella and power sports Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
