Internal Auditor I

Overview: We areCONNECTING HEALTH AND WEALTH.Come be part of remarkable.How you can make a differenceUnder the supervision of Internal Audit management, this position is responsible for assessing the design and operating effectiveness of the companys internal controls.

That responsibility includes creating workpapers to document test results and conclusions and assisting in the follow-up of noted internal control deficiencies or improvement plans.

This position may also be asked to perform other duties related to special projects as assigned by Internal Audit management and will be expected to maintain professional and technical proficiency through ongoing professional education.What youll be doingThis position will be primarily accountable to the Senior Auditor(s) or Audit Manager of their assigned project(s).

The essential duties, in addition to those described in the job summary will be to:Identify, understand, and document processes and procedures surrounding internal controlsMonitor and audit the companys compliance with established internal controls (including but not limited to financial reporting and operational controls)Identify and assess the implementation of new controls as necessaryMaintain organized audit workpapers per established methodsReview various departments business processes and suggest ways to improve processesCoordinate audit efforts with the designated Auditor-in-charge (AIC)Coordinate activities with external auditors to support their audit and review proceduresMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops/seminars; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesEstablish and maintain productive work relationships with all departments and levels of audit staffPerform other duties or special projects as assigned by internal audit managementProvide on the job education to less experienced audit staffWhat you will need to be successfulExperience should include 1 to 2 years of audit experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, and relationship building skillsAbility to work both in a team setting and independentlyFlexibility and adaptability to work on multiple, diverse, financial and operational audits/projectsAbility to adapt with changing prioritiesAbility to be challenged and challenge management in an appropriate mannerSelf-starter to be self-sufficient in overall project and role successDrive to see tasks through to completion and by established deadlinesPreferred certifications: CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE or similar certification desired or working towards certificationBenefits and perks Medical, Dental, Vision401(k) matchPaid Maternity/Paternity leaveOngoing educationGym/Fitness ReimbursementPurple with Purpose (paid volunteer time off)HSA contribution and matchAward winning Wellness ProgramConsumer Driven Healthcare (CDH) educationWhy work for HealthEquityHealthEquity has a vision thatby2030 we will make HSAs as wide-spread and popular as retirement accounts.We are passionate about providing a solution that allows American families toconnect health and wealthandbuild health savingsfor life.
