What you’ll be doing:

This role will serve as part of the Global Human Resources team.

Through effective partnership with business unit and shared service leaders as well as the successful candidate’s HR peers, we positively influence employee behaviors and engagement.

This, in turn, helps improve organizational performance and build a new level of unity, engagement, and ownership behavior among employees companywide so that we all soar together.

We are looking for someone to join our internal communications team to help enhance our companywide communications, reaching employees “beyond the written word” and “where they are.”
You will use innovative, creative approaches and a continuous improvement mentality to plan, edit, write, and create content for e-mail communications, location-specific messages, and on Helen of Troy’s global intranet platform Help develop and deliver internal communications programs to support business priorities and critical initiatives to convey key messages to the global workforce through a multiple media channel approach Help develop and implement communications strategies, plans, tactics, and creative materials related to key organization initiatives and programs Assist in planning, managing, and executing internal communication strategies and tactics to align and engage associates, keeping them “in touch” at all levels and locations through various multi-media channels (video, photo, text, digital signage, podcasting, and graphic design) Assist in special communication efforts for all associates as they occur throughout the year, including multi-media content development Develop and monitor metrics to measure, research, and determine internal communications’ effectiveness and identify areas of success and opportunity, identify original and compelling storylines, and assist in driving employee engagement

Skills needed to be successful in this role:
Able to develop engage and effective communications for diverse audiences around a range of topics, with proven versatility in multiple formats and styles Ensures all internal messages adhere to the highest grammar and business writing standards while remaining clear, effective, and accurate Knowledge of internal communications channels, techniques, and standard methodologies

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related subject area Minimum of 2 years of experience in professional communications Authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in photography, digital and / or graphic design
