IT Assistant

Hilltop Holdings Inc. is currently looking for a qualified student to join the IT Application Development team as a Summer Intern. This individual will develop UiPath software robots (“bots”) and improve their development skills. UIPath is the best-in-class toolset that enables low-code automation. We are looking for a hard-working and detail-oriented individual to help advance the company’s automation initiatives. Essential Functions Investigating, understanding, and defining high-volume, repetitive IT processes that could be good candidates for automation Working with subject matter experts to accurately describe a current process in a step-by-step manner to produce process design documentation Developing and implementing new automations in UiPath by teaching software bots manual tasks that are currently accomplished by individuals Assisting other developers in the development and testing of UIPath bots Preparing process documentation to support the roll-out of UIPath to the broader company Measuring the impact and performance of automated processes Job Requirements Excellent verbal, written and communication skills An interest in learning how things work; curiosity about how business gets done and a passion for finding ways to improve it Proven self-starter, with an automation mindset, who can initiate tasks and follow up to completion Exceptional time management and organizational skills Junior or Senior standing students pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline preferred Candidate MUST have authorization to work for any employer in the US without requiring sponsorship, whether in student status or not UiPath RPA Associate Certification preferred; however, interns without this certification will complete UiPath Certified RPA Associate (UiRPA) Training and can obtain the certification.
