A national-leading, post-acute acquired brain injury services company (http://www.Learningservices.Com), we are looking for PRN Dietician to provide services to patients in their homes or local community settings in the Dallas, TX area.

Become part of Learning Services’ effective clinical team dedicated to effective, outcome driven rehabilitation strategies!POSITION SUMMARY/SCOPE: The dietician/nutritionist functions as a consultant to the patient, families, staff and external stakeholders to maintain quality care.

The position provides evaluations and education/training in the areas of nutrition/dietary needs.OUTCOMES:Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.Maintains patient, family, physician and payer satisfaction related dietary issues and educationMaintains sensitivity to patient needs, resources and preferencesRepresents the program in a positive and professional mannerRefers patient or family concerns to appropriate staff for resolutionMaintains awareness of and assist in the protection of patient/family rightsCommunicationCommunicates comprehensive, clinically appropriate and functionally relevant information to patient, families and treatment teamCompletes chart review, patient interview and nutritional assessment to ensure appropriate dietary and nutritional programming is in placeAssists in the customizing individual diets and meal plans involving caregivers/family as necessaryParticipates in team meetings and family conferences to discuss the role of patients nutrition in the overall plan of careProvides concise and timely documentation pertaining to client needs and preferencesEducation and TrainingProvides education and training regarding dietary needs/concerns to patients, families/caregivers and therapy teamMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education – BS in Food, Nutrition and Institutional Management or equivalentLicensure/Affiliation – Member of a Dietetic Association preferredExperience – Experience with food services operations in a group home setting, specialized diets including enteral nutrition is an assetPhysical Requirements – This position may require the ability to transport/transfer clients confined to wheelchairs.Ind#1
