LivaNova: Tax Technology Analyst

Join us today and make a difference in people’s lives!Job description:The Tax Technology Analyst supports and maintains key technology solutions (OneSource, Longview, Excel based workpapers) and assists in training, troubleshooting, and improving overall tax process and workpapers.

Prepares tax workpapers, calculations, reconciliations, and journal entries to support the tax provision and the federal and state and local tax returns.Respond to IRS and state/local notice and audit requests.

Lastly, maintain correspondence, reconciliations, and tax workpapers.

Specific tasks:Prepare book-tax differences for both tax provision and tax returns.Prepare tax return workpapers and tax returns (federal, state, international/informational) and tax return-to-provision reconciliations.Prepare and record income tax journal entries, and prepare income tax account reconciliations.Prepare and/or assist with responding to notices and audit inquires from IRS and state/local taxing authorities.Maintain tax files/records (including SOX documentation).Assist with training on tax software; improving workpapers and tax process; and with troubleshooting.Support administrative tasks for tax technology (OneSource and Longview), which includes maintaining users access, chart of accounts, mapping, and templates; assisting with backups,rollovers; and importing of data.

Requirements:Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting/Tax.2-4 years’ experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting.Relevant experience in tax technology administration, OneSource, or Longview.Strong working knowledge of Excel including experience applying Excel formulas/data organization/referencing tools for high volume of data.

Preferred Qualifications & Behavioral CompetenciesCPA or eligible a plus.Experience with Longview, OneSource, and/or SAP.

More important is speed and proficiency in learning and applying technology.Understanding of US GAAP tax accounting concepts.Good organizational skills with attention to detail with analytical skills to notice inconsistencies.Need to be adept at working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and complex environment while leveraging technology.Team environment requiring communication skills to coordinate with team members who may be in other countries.
