We are seeking enthusiastic candidates for an administrative position of Closing Assistant for our Austin, TX Division.

In this position, you will assist the Closing Coordinator with closing related processes and paperwork and to ensure a smooth closing for Drees Homes customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interface and act as a liaison between the Company, Market Managers, lending institutions and title companies to schedule closings; Prepare weekly updated Closing Reports
• Utilize various reports, schedules, and other information to generate projected closing calendar
• Prepare closing packages
• Process buyer change orders and update files, paperwork and systems as required
• Verify pertinent facts with the lending institutions and title companies
• After closing, generate in-house closing statement, close out file in systems
• Ensure all appropriate documents are received prior to closing, maintain customer closing documents in customer folders
• Maintain drawers of house and garage keys when received from vendors
• Order checks as needed and forward to buyer or vendor at closing
• Coordinate signing home closing documents
• Additional administrative tasks to support the Division

Requirements, Knowledge and Skills:

• General administrative skills and experience
• Closing, title and/or homebuilder experience a plus
• Knowledge of residential home sales contract and closing documents and disclosures also a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
• Detail-minded with excellent organizational and follow up skills
• Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure while meeting strict deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Display a friendly, personable and approachable manner with both internal and external customers
• Problem-solver with a team player mentality
• High school education required; College degree helpful

The schedule of this position will be Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM, plus additional hours as necessary.
