Major Gift Officer

The Director will be a member of the team responsible for all operations and programs related to major gift fundraising efforts (gifts > $50,000), with a focus on identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects and donors.

Serves as a member of the departments leadership team, and remains involved in high-level decision-making as well as developing goals, policies and procedures for the department.

Provides support to St.

Lukes Foundation projects and programs to ensure all aspects are fully integrated and remain complementary, effective, and efficient.Responsibilities1.

Identify, develop and implement ongoing and annual fundraising goals and opportunities to improve donation efforts across the hospital or market assigned.2.

Collaborate with program and hospital stakeholders to educate members on fundraising deliverables and impact results across the hospital and division.3.

Maintain portfolio of prospective and current donors with responsibility for securing philanthropic gifts and cultivating and soliciting strategies for each donor.4.

Responsible for proper stewardship of major gifts, and continually engaging with donors to sustain and grow the relationship and connection with St.

Lukes Foundation.

Communicate with portfolio through face-to-face cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship meetings, and written strategies; ensure that each major donor and prospect has a clear strategy and timeline for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.5.

Present ideas, report progress and develop strategies for prioritizing the entire donor portfolio in coordination with the Div VP Development.6.

Coordinate donor interests with the priorities of the hospital, and market and develop funding proposals to match the interests with needs.7.

Contribute to the development of tools and processes to improve internal controls, work flow processes and desk manual procedures8.

Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all donor and prospect information at all times.9.
