Material Handler


This is a Contract position in Corsicana, TX posted August 19, 2021.

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the accurate and timely picking, packing, preparation and shipping of all customer shipments and is responsible for accurate material handling and cycle count functions. Must complete all paperwork and coding when applicable. Responsible for storing items in proper place. Must update computer inventory system and ensure received goods are checked for damage. The Material Handler must transport pallets or individual containers of finished goods to storage area using forklift, pallet dolly or other equipment as required. Each Material Handler is responsible for staying current on standard work procedures and for performing all job duties in a manner consistent with plant customer service, quality and expense management targets.

What Will You Do: 

  • Receives raw materials and packaging supplies, including count materials received, compare actual to invoices notice discrepancies, complete paperwork, code items, and store items in proper place

  • Received goods should be checked for damage.

  • Update paper or computer inventory system.

  • Transports pallets or individual containers of finished goods to storage area using forklift, pallet dolly, or other
    equipment, as required.

  • Products must be stored in correct space.

  • Using pick lists, RF terminal and scanner, to accurately pick products from warehouse using material handling equipment.

  • Visually checks the appearance of and condition of products prior to shipping.

  • Loads delivery trucks based on pick lists and shipping order. Follow regulations regarding the loading and transport of chemical products.

  • Accurately and promptly complete receiving and shipping documentation, either on paper, via scanner, or entering data into computer.

  • Record and track safety, quality and productivity in accordance with plant and departmental goals.

  • Tracks distribution and quality data as requested.

  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.

  • Performs salvage/recoup activities per standard operating procedures.

  • Obtain samples per Quality Control request.

  • Ship samples to other ChampionX locations


Position Details: 


Plant located in Corsicana, TX


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma/GED 

  • Ability to operate a forklift (forklift certified) 

  • Must be willing to work various shifts  

  • Able to operate a computer device, either handheld or forklift mounted 

  • Must have the ability to wear a respirator  

  • Must have the ability to wear fall protection 

  • No immigration sponsorship offered  

  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English 


Physical Demands: 

  • Able to lift and carry 50 pounds 

  • Must be able to bend, squat down, and reach above your head 

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders  

  • This role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • 1 year of manufacturing plant experience  

  • 1 year of warehouse experience  

  • Proficiency in SAP
