The Multi-media Design Intern will assist in providing conceptual ideation and innovative visualization solutions to be used in various communication channels, including digital signage, animation, video and graphics.
This individual will work within a highly collaborative team to assess the needs of the company and provide visually engaging animations, renderings, presentations, videos and immersive assets to assist in internal communication efforts.
Assist in designing visualization assets including videos, animated videos, interactive/ immersive projects, presentations and project deliverables for various communication channels.
Assist with 3d, 2d graphic assets and animated sequences using various software packages incorporating modeling, animating cameras, storyboarding, and editing videos for various communication efforts.
Maintain the various designed and developed graphic elements to support internal communication goals.
Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, Power Point presentation, training, etc.
Assist with responses to general questions.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
Present solutions to concerns.
Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
All other duties as assigned.
Pursuit of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
Basic experience using shooting and editing video (via photo, video camera or iPad), basic photography, web design, and creating animation using Apple Motion and HTML5 is preferred.
Basic experience with MacOS and other Apple operating systems (preferred), WindowsOS (optional), Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is preferred.
Basic experience writing and storyboarding for videos and animation is preferred.
Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education program in a field related to the work done in the department.
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship, in the country where this position is located, for the duration of the internship.
