Personal Care Worker position summary The personal care worker is responsible for providing various care services necessary for attending to the personal needs, support, and health status of participants.

Under the direction and supervision of the Day Center Manager, this individual performs ADLs and activities within the scope of practice of a personal care worker, such as participant laundry, participant personal care, participant care training and education.

It is the responsibility of the personal care worker to provide and assist the participants with activities of daily living, restorative and supportive care.

Monitors health status and provides a safe environment for participants.

Assists with organization and implementation of activity program.

Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population.

Experience in a long-term care facility or with a community-based geriatric program preferred.
