Product Design Engineer III

Visión general: This individual will be responsible for managing CI
– VA/VE projects that require extensive cross-functional and cross-site (including international) coordination.
Projects will primarily involve bathroom fitting products in Americas/EMENA.
He or she will work with the Monterrey plant and our external supplier to generate new cost reduction ideas for existing product lines, or support the plant for process optimization to improve production efficiency.
The engineer will responsible for creating the 3D and 2D CAD drawing for new designs, and work closely with the Manufacturing and Engineering team to address any design relative issues during the project implementation.
Responsabilidades: Identifying potential cost out or quality improvement projects, create 3D and 2D data in Pro-E.Defining critical process/product parameters and test plan for new cost out design.
Create ECR/ECN in the engineering data management data system and present the ECR/ECN in the board review meeting.Follow up the execution of new ideas generated for existing products in order to ensure its correct and timely implementation.
Work together with manufacturing to provide support and solution to daily problems that may occur during the implementation process.Review supplier specifications and validate company specifications.
If required, approve or reject supplier specifications either graphic or structural.
Requisitios: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a similar field.
A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in manufacturing, Project Management experience in a consumer durable goods business is strongly preferred.
Extensive design experience in CAD software, PTC Pro-E (Creo) Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, or ArtiosCAD is a plus.
Fundamental awareness of codes and standards.
Intermediate English (written and oral).
Strong teamwork, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Willing to travel as required to facilities in Mexico and the US, with great attention to detail and precision, strong observation and analysis skills.
