Product Owner

This is a Full-time position in Plano, TX posted July 3, 2021.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Product Owner in Plano, TX. Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Scrum team backlog, defining stories, leading story refinement, and defining sprint goals for iteration planning and program increment planning
  • Writes actionable user stories that have clear acceptance criteria
  • Reviews and accepts user stories throughout the iteration as developed functionality is completed by the team
  • Manages and ensures the features, stories, and tasks are entered, maintained, and tracked appropriately in Azure DevOps
  • Pro-actively works with other Product Owners and Product Managers to determine impacts and interdependencies with other teams
  • Collaborates with product manager to provide input to the product vision and roadmap
  • Collaborates with product manager, release management, and partner technology teams to define and plan for impromptu and scheduled releases
  • Leads retrospective meetings with the scrum team to brainstorm new ideas and process improvements
  • Brings insights from customer feedback to identify unmet customer needs and represent our customers in prioritization and trade-off decisions
  • Provides production support to handle inquiries or issues being by faced by our customers or customer-facing team members

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, military experience, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience operating in a Product Owner capacity within an Agile team
  • Experience working with a Scrum team in an Agile development environment
  • Self-starter relating to tasks, requests, and documentation
  • Ability to organize and prioritize sprint schedules on a short-term and long-term basis
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others
