Quality Management System Specialist

Collaborates with other Quality team members in the analysis of data and problem-solving activities+ Serve as site technical expert on quality management systems including knowledge of the AS9100 and ISO9001 standards.

Provides coaching on quality system compliance to site cross-function.

Identifies and conducts relevant site quality training needs per QMS or regulatory compliance requirements.+ Partners with site functional leaders and value stream managers to proactively identify, develop and implement programs and procedures to support and document QMS improvement opportunities.+ Prepares and facilitates site internal audit program and ensures timely completion of audits and formal documentation of findings.

Manages and ensures timely and effective closure of corrective actions cited during site internal audits partnering with Sr Quality Compliance Specialist as needed.+ Interfaces and manages external ISO/AS/NADCAP registrar activity.+ Prepares for and facilitates 3rd party & customer quality audits, site visits, scheduled management reviews, and quality metrics reporting.

Conducts analysis of quality-related findings and recommends appropriate internal audit program, quality procedure creation, and review process.

Responsible for follow up and ensuring completion of any recommended corrective and preventive actions (including the Quality Notification system) as identified by 3rd party audits+ Supports Customer Specification Review process and ensures effective closure of events in a timely manner.+ Stays abreast of pending changes to quality standards and researches industry best practices in order to prepare the organization for compliance+ Provides support to internal functions in the application, maintenance, and improvement of quality systems and department-specific processes.**Required Minimum Qualifications****Education/Certifications:** List any degrees, certifications, or licenses, specifying which are required to perform the role and/or those that may be preferred.

Please keep in mind, if a requirement is listed, all incumbents must meet this requirement.+ Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in an Technical or Engineering discipline+ Certified Green Belt or equivalent Six Sigma knowledge desired+ Certified lead Auditor for ISO9001 and/or AS/EN9100 preferred**Skills and Experience:** Things a candidate should know and/or experience they possess in order to be successful in the role, specifying required vs.

preferred and the number of years of experience required.+ A minimum of 5+ years experience in Quality Compliance preferably in an industrial manufacturing setting+ Demonstrated experience with QMS development, management, and certification/accreditation for ISO9001+ Experience leading audits – coordinating preparation with internal cross functions, preparing audit findings and response; follow up and execute improvements to address non-conformance+ Strong written & verbal communications skills commensurate with audience.

Will be interacting with strategic customers and suppliers, third-party certifying bodies and Auditors, and multiple internal functions.+ Strong analytical/statistical skills+ Ability to think strategically and help translate strategy into clear objectives and metrics+ Ability to plan and align, building relationships and accountability across departments and with key stakeholders+ Action-oriented – ability to develop and execute tactical plans, working independently as well as coaching site functions; Acts with a sense of urgency and take immediate action when goals are not being met+ Demonstrated situational adaptability – has the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and help foster necessary response across the organizationNote: This Job Description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
